Request for Tender (RFT)

A Request for Tender (RFT) is a formal, structured bid solicitation for the supply of goods and for services. The majority of RFTs are published by the government sector, but companies in the infrastructure and utilities sectors may also publish RFTs. An RFT is similar to a Request for Proposal (RFP) (commonly used in the private sector), but an RFP has a much less rigid structure.
