Abstract is a word that comes from Latin meaning "pulled away" or "detached," and the idea is that something is detached from physical, or concrete reality. Abstracts are thoughts that can exist in the mind and not have any physical or concrete actuality, or be summarized and presented in a skeletal way. Abstracts are summaries or concentration of the essential aspects of a larger or several things.
